While employed by The Mining Journal, I had the privilege of writing a weekly article for the Food and Beverage section of the paper, which was published in every Saturday edition.

Articles focused on anything from the opening of new establishments, back stories (the history of the business), upcoming events, and so on. There were plenty of benefits about writing such articles – mostly that the business owners and managers were extremely grateful as it was basically free advertisement. Another perk: sometimes I got free samples.
